One Step Closer to Croak-ey Karaoke

It’s hard being this hot.

It has been awhile since Angela and I have been living in the same town to be to throw a party together. How fortuitous that this came to pass for our big 3-0. We decided on a karaoke party and ended up at the Carriage House in Kearny Mesa.

Donning our matching attire, we stormed this little dive bar with 20 of our friends. The bar was pretty packed, and we tried to minimize the other patrons choice of country songs by taking the mic ourselves. Only 7 of us ended up singing in the end. Mark was his usual awesome self doing a hilarious version of “Hero” by Enrique Iglesias (and later blessing us with a “Sweet Caroline”). It was really great that Michelle could come down for the party, but as usual my visiting time with her felt too short. I was thrilled she took the roll of “The Enabler” and got my brother up to sing “Gimme Three Steps” by Lynard Skynard. I was shocked and thrilled that he did a great job!! (Sorry Brian, I’m allowed to be shocked right?… right?!) I’m surprised I got the courage to get up and sing “Queer” by Garbage, but I don’t think I did too terrible of a job. Funny, I don’t feel any older. See pictures.

Mr & Mrs. Scott

To quote Wendy, “This ring isn’t coming off!”

Congratulations to the newlyweds, who took on the daunting task of hosting a grand wedding at their own house! After 6 years of courtship, Brian Scott and Wendy Bardwell wed on September 4, 2005. About 70 guests joined them on their special day, and I was happy to be one of them. Wendy looked so beautiful in her dress! But don’t take my word for it, see more pictures of the comely couple.
