Holiday madness
What a crazy last two days. On Monday, I went to pick out my wedding dress with my mom, Angela and Michelle. I had been shopping twice before, so this was just supposed to be a showing of the 7 dresses I had narrowed it down to. My friend Wendy had mentioned to me that most people end up picking one of the first few dresses they try on. And I did… after trying on about 50 dresses, I ended up going with the third dress I tried on. I guess it goes to show that you should go with your gut instincts. I also had a lovely dinner with the girls (sans mom) and Nicole and Ryan. I love the holidays. It’s so nice to be able to visit with the people you are most comfortable with. It’s sad that distance keeps us from doing it more often, but perhaps I wouldn’t appreciate the time with them if it was so readily available. Naaah, that’s a crock. We’d have SOOOO much fun if we all still lived in the same town. ![]()
Then on Tuesday, Angela, Michelle and I were off to try out facials at Anatomy Day Spa in Hillcrest. I had picked the spa because I had heard good reviews, and it was one place that still had availability on a week’s notice. My esthetician was named Debbie and was very nice. I was scrubbed, extracted and soothed. It was interesting, but I’m not sure if I notice a real difference. Perhaps it takes time. She gave me some general advice and I bought into their product line (I’m such a sucker). Perhaps I’ll give it another go in a few months, like they suggested. I had dinner with Angela’s family, which is always nice. You have to keep on your toes with Angela’s family. They are so well informed about current events. Perhaps I should arrange to have dinner with them more often, then I’d have a clue as to what is going on in the outside world. ![]()
And today I leave for Idaho, for a Hamon X-Mas family reunion extravaganza. I don’t think I’ve ever had a white Christmas. Idaho should be beautiful.
Peace.
